Supreme Court Orders New York To Respond To Missouri’s Trump Lawfare Lawsuit

The United States Supreme Court has ordered New York to respond to a lawsuit filed by Missouri by Wednesday, as stated by Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey. Filed on July 3, Bailey’s lawsuit claims that the prosecution of President Donald Trump, along with imposed gag orders, infringes on Missourians’ right to hear him speak freely ahead of the upcoming election.

Bailey argues that New York’s legal actions against Trump illegally interfere with the presidential election. The lawsuit requests the Supreme Court to delay any sentencing in the hush money case until after the election and to remove the gag orders imposed on Trump.

In May, Trump was found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records connected to a payment made to former porn star Stormy Daniels. Bailey contends that these legal actions and restrictions prevent Missouri residents from fully participating in the electoral process by limiting Trump’s ability to communicate.

“The United States Supreme Court has ordered New York to respond by Wednesday,” Bailey announced on social media platform X. The outcome of this case could have significant implications for the upcoming presidential election and the legal landscape surrounding campaign-related prosecutions.
