Recent data from the Geiger Counter World Map revealed that radiation levels in areas such as the Bronx and Upper West Side have reached 1,048 counts-per-minute (CPM), far surpassing the average safety threshold of 200 CPM. Background radiation typically ranges from 5 to 60 CPM, making these elevated readings highly alarming.

Gordon Chang, a recognized expert on U.S.-China relations, speculated that the drones could be linked to a potential nuclear threat, possibly searching for a dirty bomb or another type of weapon. “The drones might be searching for something dangerous,” Chang suggested, pointing out the concentration of radiation across both sides of the Hudson River.

Chang also criticized President Joe Biden for his failure to address the public directly about the situation, urging the president to provide an update on the drones and their connection to the heightened radiation levels. “It’s time for the president to speak to the American people and let us know what’s going on,” Chang said.

Meanwhile, in New Jersey, reports of missing radioactive materials have added further complexity to the issue. Local officials, including Mayor Michael Melham, expressed concern over a shipment of medical devices that had been damaged. Despite these concerns, authorities have called the situation a “non-emergency.”

With radiation levels continuing to rise, experts are advising that Americans take precautions and prepare for possible emergencies. Having enough food, water, and iodine pills could prove vital if the situation escalates.
