Michigan Rep. Neil Friske Claims Innocence After Arrest For Assaulting Stripper

Michigan State Rep. Neil Friske has declared his innocence following his arrest on June 20 for allegedly assaulting a stripper. Friske, who was accused of assaulting an exotic dancer from Deja Vu Showgirls Club and chasing her with a gun, insists he was framed.

Friske’s campaign defended his actions on Facebook, emphasizing his commitment to exercising his 2nd Amendment rights. Fox 2 Detroit reported that police recommended three felony charges: sexual assault, assault excluding sexual, and felony weapons.

However, Friske was released without charges as the investigation continues.
After his release, Friske maintained his innocence, stating, “I am confident that this investigation will totally exonerate me.” The Lansing Police have withheld video and documentation related to the incident, citing ongoing investigations.

In his first public appearance post-arrest, Friske appeared on the “Your Defending Fathers” radio show, hosted by Trucker Randy. Randy claimed hackers tried to prevent him from defending Friske on air, hinting at a conspiracy against the lawmaker.

Friske suggested that his arrest was part of a plot by political enemies, describing the situation as a setup. His campaign echoed these sentiments, calling the timing of his arrest “highly suspect” due to a recent poll on the 107th District race.

Friske remains defiant, rejecting calls to step down or suspend his campaign. “I’ve not done anything wrong, so why on Earth would I do that?” he asserted, indicating he believes his arrest was orchestrated by opponents with deep-state ties.
