Critics Blast Biden Administration For Border Wall Auctions

The Biden administration is removing unused border wall materials and auctioning them off through GovPlanet, prompting accusations of sabotage against President-elect Donald Trump’s border security plans.

A report by the Daily Wire revealed that sections of steel bollard wall are being transported from locations in Arizona, including Nogales and Tucson, to Pinal Airpark for sale. The materials, which have been sitting idle throughout Biden’s presidency, are being sold at starting bids as low as $5.

Videos obtained by the Daily Wire show flatbed trucks hauling the wall segments away, while GovPlanet auctions advertise the pieces as surplus government equipment. Harold Lambeth, owner of DP Trucking LLC, confirmed that his company is handling the transport but declined further comment.

Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ) criticized the administration’s actions, stating, “Any last-ditch attempt to obstruct this mandate by the Biden administration would be a direct affront to the will of the people.” Crane’s remarks underscore the frustration of many who see this move as a political maneuver to hinder Trump’s agenda.

The decision to auction off materials comes as Trump prepares to restart construction on the wall through executive action. Critics argue that the administration’s actions are a waste of resources, particularly as the U.S. continues to face record levels of illegal immigration.

With auctions already underway, the debate over border security and immigration is set to intensify as the transition of power nears.
