Stone: FBI Should Not Investigate Trump Assassination Attempt

Roger Stone, a well-known political strategist, has voiced his skepticism about the FBI’s ability to investigate the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump. Speaking to The New American, Stone pointed to the FBI’s recent controversies involving Trump as a reason for his mistrust.

Stone, who has written extensively about political conspiracies, believes the Deep State has a history of targeting high-profile figures. Referring to the Kennedy assassination, he stated, “They have successfully killed an American president. We still don’t definitively know who killed Kennedy, and the American people have never been told the truth about who tried to kill Ronald Reagan.”

In a candid interview, Stone expressed doubt about the FBI’s capability to lead the Butler, Pennsylvania investigation. “No, we can’t trust the FBI to investigate themselves,” he asserted. “We can’t trust FBI to investigate the Secret Service, and we can’t trust the Secret Service to investigate the Secret Service. This Justice Department is incapable of directing an inquiry because they are so political.”

During a Capitol Hill hearing on Monday, Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle faced tough questions from lawmakers. Cheatle admitted she had not visited the rally site nine days after the shooting. Following intense scrutiny, Cheatle resigned, acknowledging the failure to protect the nation’s leaders.

In response to the security failures, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) announced a bipartisan task force. Stone believes Congress is the only body capable of conducting a reliable investigation. “Only the House Republicans have the authority to thoroughly investigate this,” he said.

Stone had previously predicted that the Deep State would stop at nothing to remove Trump, including assassination if other methods failed. He views the recent attempt as a continuation of these efforts. “The coup failed. They didn’t bankrupt him. They didn’t keep him off the ballot in 50 states,” Stone remarked. “There was only one other option… to kill him.”

Highlighting concerns about Trump’s security, Stone criticized the Secret Service’s performance. He compared the Butler incident to the Kennedy assassination, saying, “Many of the same violations of the Secret Service rules of conduct in Dallas we saw in Butler, Pennsylvania.”

With the House investigation underway, numerous questions need answers. Stone stressed the importance of a thorough investigation to reveal the truth behind the assassination attempt.
