Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) recently blasted Vice President Kamala Harris, citing her high staff turnover rate as a major indicator of her inability to lead the country. During an interview with Tucker Carlson, Vance pointed to the 92% turnover rate in Harris’ campaign as a sign of dysfunction, raising serious concerns about her fitness to serve as president.
“If you can’t keep your own staff from quitting, how can we trust you to run the country?” Vance asked. He also questioned who Harris would surround herself with in the White House, especially in times of crisis, such as during a potential war. According to Vance, Harris’s lack of strong leadership and clear direction should disqualify her from the presidency.
Beyond his critique of Harris, Vance also discussed the potential obstacles he and President Donald Trump could face if elected in 2024. One of the most contentious issues will be implementing Trump’s mass deportation plans. Vance acknowledged that many would likely oppose these measures, labeling them as extreme or “fascist.”
In addition to immigration policy, Vance expressed concern over the bond markets. He warned that global corporations, upset by Trump’s efforts to bring jobs back to the U.S., might retaliate by driving up interest rates, putting economic pressure on the administration. Vance emphasized the importance of appointing a skilled treasury secretary to help navigate these challenges.
Vance and Carlson are set to continue their discussion at an upcoming event in Hershey, Pennsylvania, as part of Carlson’s ongoing tour.
