Skyrocketing Number Of Immigrants Crossing Into US On Terror Watchlist

It’s bad enough that the Biden administration welcomed millions of unvetted illegal migrants to roam the country. Now comes a report from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) revealing that more of these illegals originate from Special Interest Countries.

These are regions noted for terrorist activity, and they are increasingly sending single adult males to the U.S.

DHS data revealed that roughly 25,000 of these migrants were detained attempting to enter the country in the first half of the fiscal year. This is added to the specific individuals on the terror watchlist that were apprehended and many others who undoubtedly entered undetected.

Encounters with individuals on the terror watchlist surged exponentially during the turbulent Biden years.

According to Customs and Border Protection data, there were only 15 total in fiscal year 2021. That leapt to 98 in 2022 and then 169 in fiscal year 2023.

The terror watchlist is now officially the Terrorist Screening Dataset. It contains identities of known terror suspects as well as associates of these individuals who should be properly vetted — and then sent home.

The deluge of suspect individuals is increasingly worrisome after the recent deadly attack on a Russian concert venue by ISIS. This added to the unrest caused by Israel’s retaliation against Hamas terrorists after the Oct. 7 massacre that claimed 1,200 lives.

FBI and DHS officials increasingly warn of terror cells or “lone wolf” attacks on U.S. soil. The situation is hardly helped by the lackadaisical border policies of the Biden administration.

Republicans loudly warn of the terror threat posed by the porous border, but Democrats control the Senate and occupy the White House. This means that the GOP at most may act as a foil to even more destructive immigration policies.

The last fiscal year saw an unprecedented 2.475 million encounters at the southern border. This record looks to be broken yet again as the White House continues to tear down successful Trump era immigration policies.

U.S. officials are conducting meetings with their Mexican counterparts, but crawling hat-in-hand to the nation’s southern neighbor is hardly an effective negotiating strategy. Simply put, Biden’s weakness gives the U.S. no bargaining position to stem the flow of illegal migrants to the border.
