Ghislaine Maxwell Lied To Avoid Epstein Deposition

Ghislaine Maxwell, disgraced associate of human trafficker Jeffery Epstein, claimed her mother’s health required her to leave the United States immediately and indefinitely. This was the night before she was to be deposed in a 2009 civil suit against Epstein. The deposition was canceled, but according to newly unsealed documents related to the Epstein case, she was later seen attending the wedding of Chelsea Clinton in Rhinebeck, New York.

The document describes Maxwell’s manipulations as “confirming the suspicion that she was indeed still in the country and willing to say anything to avoid her deposition.”

Maxwell’s attendance at the exclusive wedding with 400 invited guests is the latest revelation pointing to the close relationship between Epstein and former President Bill Clinton. The latter is mentioned over 70 times in the Epstein documents released last week by the Southern District Court of New York. The documents contain no direct evidence of any crimes committed by Clinton, but there is a statement from one of Epstein’s victims that Epstein described the former president as “[liking] them young”, referring to girls.

Clinton also is shown by flight logs to have flown at least 26 times on Epstein’s private plane, dubbed the “Lolita Express”. This includes five trips in which he avoided his Secret Service detail. Maxwell has denied that Clinton ever visited Epstein’s infamous Little St James Island but conceded that he had a meal on Epstein’s private plane.

Additionally, Epstein and Maxwell were both photographed in the White House with Bill Clinton while he was president.

Through his spokesman Angel Urena in 2019, Clinton has denied any untoward relationship with Epstein: “President Clinton knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has been recently charged in New York.”

Maxwell is serving a twenty-year prison sentence for human trafficking and conspiracy convictions stemming from her role in Epstein’s operations. She continues to maintain her innocence and is currently appealing her conviction. Her attorneys have not objected to the recent document release as they claim they have no bearing on her appeals.
